Mould Design
•Gating & Parting Line Design: A hot-runner pin-point gating system is adopted, with a gate diameter of 0.5mm and a gate depth of 4mm. This design precisely controls the melt filling speed, minimizes flow marks and air traps, and ensures a smooth, defect-free product surface. The parting line features a hemispherical fitting design, with red lines clearly demarcating the cavity and core boundaries to guarantee mold clamping precision and prevent flash formation.
•Ejection & Demolding Design: A stripper plate ejection structure is employed, with ejection points evenly distributed along the product edge and a 0.5mm ejection clearance. This enables stable demolding, avoiding product deformation or damage. Meanwhile, tailored to the curved structure of the lampshade, the draft angle is optimized— the straight-side draft angle is increased to 3.0°— to further ensure smooth demolding.
•Material & Performance Matching: Both the mold cavity and core are made of S136H stainless steel, which offers excellent polishability and corrosion resistance. It maintains a high-gloss mirror finish over long-term use and meets the wear resistance requirements of high-temperature PC injection molding. The mold base is constructed from S50C steel, balancing rigidity and cost-effectiveness to support stable, long-term mold operation.
Mould Manufacturing
During the machining process, the cavity and core surfaces undergo mirror polishing to fully meet the product's high-gloss finish requirements. The hot-runner system is equipped with a precision temperature control design to ensure uniform melt temperature and reduce injection defects.
The manufacturing process strictly adheres to DFM (Design for Manufacturing) analysis results. The draft angle, ejection structure, and other components are verified and optimized. Process parameters are adjusted based on trial molding feedback, ultimately achieving high-precision, high-stability mold production and ensuring the lampshade accessory meets all aesthetic and performance standards.
